Vivienne Schadinsky works with galleries, museums, botanic gardens, foundations and collectors on exhibitions, commissions and long-term projects.

Her practice includes Japanese ink painting, paper sculpture, installation and film, each offering a different way of exploring the natural world and how we care for it.

Every project begins with in-depth research, guided by her advisory board of specialists from Kew, the Millennium Seed Bank at Wakehurst, the Natural History Museum and universities. It then evolves into work that responds to the particular qualities of each place or subject.

She can provide the artistic vision for a project or oversee its full creative direction, from first research to finished exhibition, with talks and workshops where they suit the project.

Her work invites organisations and collectors to look more closely at what grows and changes around them, and to find where it meets their own place and purpose.
