artist residencies
Ensō House Portugal — artist in residence Mai 2026
A creative retreat in a remote and expansive landscape, away from the intensity of city life to work from a place of stillness. This residency provides space to explore how slowing down influences Vivienne's practice and, when combined with the beauty of the natural world, can cultivate a form of care — and how that care might inspire hope through environmental storytelling across different art forms
OmVed Gardens — artist in residence 2024 - 2025
During the residency, Vivienne has collaborated with the OmVed team and her advisors and observed the growing process of a selection of beans, and conduct research on the potential of beans as a future food.
Her findings were transformed into stories and artworks that celebrate beans as a climate resilient food source and explore their ecological importance. The residency culminated in a display of a 30 minute film and 5 short films, an exhibition with paintings and sculptures, a series of workshops and a talk on climate ethics, hope and creativity. Please find more details about the exhibition INTO THE SEEDS OF TIME here.

Kindred House Margate — artist in residence February 2024
Exploring the theme of REGENERATION.
How can we work with nature to understand ourselves better and work with our surroundings, with art as a tool for collaboration and exploring our ongoing relationship with the environment.
During her residency, Vivienne engaged deeply with the local environment, exploring found objects and materials, and translating these discoveries into her artistic practice. She also conducted a focused mini-research project investigating how shifting climate patterns are affecting seaweed in Margate. Through conversations with local residents and experts, she examined how these ecological changes impact both the coastal landscape and the local community, weaving these insights into her creative response.
