Each plant seed is a tiny package that is ready to travel. This package is vital for life. It contains a baby plant, some food and a coat. The seeds are a vehicle that allow plants to travel, to migrate like their ancestors did — the first moving land plants. The growth of plants is where all life on Earth depends on.

In agriculture, food systems and forestry, seeds are everything for biodiversity conservation and ecosystem restoration. Their value is immeasurable for a sustainable future.

In this ongoing project, each seed is wrapped in a hand crafted pouch — a tangible yet concealed treasure, safeguarded in its dormancy, silently waiting for its moment to flourish. Like a nest. The thread that binds these pouches and seeds symbolises the connection between humanity, the mother and child, and the essence of life itself.
